I had a spinal fusion at 18 for spondylloslisthesis. I followed that up with a 10 year rugby career, and I’m now a little over a year into being a Brazilian jiu-jitsu athlete. As you can imagine, when I first came to see Dr. Doug a few months ago, I was dealing with some pretty severe neck and back issues. Dr. Doug was courteous, friendly, and professional during the assessment, and made me feel comfortable despite how worried I was about my long-term health. He came up with a treatment plan that he went over with me in detail, and helped me set up some realistic expectations and goals for being pain-free. After just a couple months of treatment, my overall well-being has improved dramatically. I no longer suffer from severe neck pain, and though my back will never be 100% due to the fusion, I am much more comfortable sitting and standing. I would highly recommend Dr. Doug to anyone looking to have a more comfortable, pain-free life, regardless of your activity levels. Any time I visit the office with any wrist, knee, ankle, or other joint pain from jiu-jitsu, Dr. Doug will adjust the joint and apply a laser therapy treatment, and I’m back to normal before I walk out the door. Couldn’t be happier with my care!

Dr. Lightstone is very thorough and makes sure that you have a clear understanding of what is going on both with your spine and the visit. I have been to chiropractors before but Dr. Lightstone is a cut above the rest. His passion for his field shows and his desire to help others is unmatched.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Doug for over 3 years now and I know for a fact that he is quick to say you need a specialist if he does not believe the care he can provide will heal the issue. I thought I had popped my kneecap out of place so I went to see Dr. Doug. He listened to the symptoms, let me know that he thought I needed an MRI and that an adjustment wouldn’t do much. When the MRI came back it confirmed that I needed to see an orthopedic surgeon. I appreciate Dr. Doug for checking in with me, listening to what I am really saying, and caring so much about my health that he is willing to refer me out before ‘trying everything possible’ on his end knowing that there was a good possibility that the issue was muscular. 😍
