In addition to his practice, Dr. Lightstone founded and runs the Institute for Spinal Health and Performance. Dr. Lightstone and his team research the effects of chiropractic care in rehabilitation and maintenance of the spine to find and correct the link between vertebral subluxation, abnormal spinal alignment, and the onset of disease and dysfunction in the body. Dr. Lightstone is a research fellow and serves on a peer review panel for a research journal. His work on spinal biomechanics, physiology, and the health impacts of spinal rehabilitation is published in various peer-reviewed research journals, indexed in PubMed of the National Institute of Health, and collaborates in research endeavors with prestigious institutions such as Emory University.
